The importance of securities holders' lists

Nasdaq CSD provides issuers with a real-time access to the list of securities holders (list of shareholders and list of bondholders, if applicable).

The service enables an authorized person to obtain and print out lists of securities holders at any point in time.

In addition, issuers have access to a variety of standardized reports giving a better insight into the behavior of investors.

A statement of the list of shareholders can be used as a basis for general meetings of shareholders, transactions with shares, communicating messages to investors and others.

To be able to use the self-service portal ESIS, issuers, Issuer’ Agents or authorized third parties must submit an application and send it to csd@nasdaq.com. Nasdaq CSD will create users and send confirmations via e-mail.

Issuers in Iceland can also apply for a web service access to the ESIS system.
