Membership in international organizations

European Central Securities Depositories Association

Nasdaq CSD is a member of European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA). ECSDA’s objective is to offer solutions and provide advice at an international level on technical, economic, financial and regulatory matters to reduce risk and increase efficiency in custody, pre-settlement and settlement arrangements for securities and related payments across Europe for the benefit of issuers, investors and market participants.

Association of National Numbering Agencies

Nasdaq CSD is a member of Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) and has obtained a National Numbering Agency status in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Iceland, and thus is authorized to assign ISIN codes for all securities issued in these countries.

ANNA is fully committed to proactively promoting, implementing, maintaining and making available, standards for securities and related financial instruments, in a uniform and accurate structure for the benefit of their home markets and of the securities industry as a whole. Registration and maintenance of international standards under ANNA’s responsibility, is enacted according to rules and regulations set out by ISO (the “International Organization for Standardization”).

International Securities Services Association (ISSA)

Nasdaq CSD is a member of ISSA which is a Swiss-domiciled association that supports the securities services industry. ISSA’s members include CSDs, custodians, technology companies and other firms who are actively involved in all aspects of the securities services value chain.

By connecting its members and facilitating collaboration, ISSA provides the leadership necessary to drive change in the securities services industry. The focus is on finding progressive solutions to reduce risk and improve efficiency and effectiveness – from issuer through to investor – as well as on providing broader thought-leadership to help shape the future of the industry.
